Members of the School Improvement Advisory Committee (SIAC), which included staff, parents and community members met last night in the high school gallery rooms. Members of the SIAC committee provide community perspective and the implementation of, progress toward, and communication of the district strategic plan. SIAC also provides members an opportunity to increase their knowledge of current educational initiatives.
During last night’s SIAC meeting, members learned about the district behavior matrix is a structure to reduce systemic inequities. They also learned about systemic approaches to equitable access to college, career, and life readiness indicators.
“The collaboration between staff, parents and the community is invaluable as we work towards our strategic plan goals,” said Tracy Schipper, Executive Director of Elementary Programs. “Last night we received helpful input regarding the draft of the college, career, and life readiness indicators.”
